There are often several surfaces to be processed on a CNC workpiece. These surfaces not only have certain accuracy requirements, but also have certain position requirements between the surfaces.In order to achieve these precision requirements, CNC machining workpiece surface processing order can not be arranged at will, and must follow a certain principle, this is the positioning datum selection and conversion determines the processing order, and the principle of the positioning datum ready for the subsequent process.
1.Before the important surface processing, the precision should be a rest, in order to ensure the processing accuracy of the important surface.
2. After finishing the benchmark, the main surface with higher precision requirements should be roughed, semi-finished and finished.Especially high precision requirements of the surface also need to finish.
3. The surface as the precision benchmark should be processed at the beginning of the CNC machining process, because it will be used to locate other surfaces in the subsequent process.That is, “benchmark first, then others”.
4. In the processing of precision datum, need to use rough datum positioning.In single piece, small batch production, or even batch production, for castings and forgings with complex shape or large size, as well as blanks with large size error, the marking process should be arranged first before the machining process, in order to provide alignment datum for fine datum processing.
5. For processes that are prone to waste, finishing and finishing can be properly placed in front, and some minor small surface processing can be placed behind.
